Position Summary

The Summer Engineering Intern will work closely with and assist engineers in conducting various engineering assignments.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct limited scope engineering work under the supervision of engineers in one or more of the following areas:
    • Hardware Design
    • Hardware Testing
    • Quality Assurance
    • Material Management
    • Software and Systems
  • Carry out basic work instructions that will help in understanding the fundamentals of the company and also learn new things
  • Conduct limited scope testing under the supervision of engineers
  • Completing assigned tasks on time
  • Gather and assemble data for engineers
  • May be required to help in research in a particular field
  • Conduct design analysis and/or calculations under the supervision of engineers
  • Assist engineers with appropriate design details
  • Must have good interpersonal skills and have the ability to build a good network
  • Perform a wide variety of tasks to gain familiarity with the engineering staff, methods, programs and practices
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization

  • High School Diploma
  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s Degree program in Electrical, Computer, Software or Industrial Engineering
  • Must be diligent, hardworking, and quick to learn

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting up to 20 lbs. up to 25% of time
  • Walking: up to 25% of time
  • Climbing, Bending, Standing, Stooping: up to 10% of time
  • Sitting: up to 75% of time

 

 

The annualized pay range for this role is $20.00-$24.00 USD per hour.  The pay range provided is a good faith estimate representative of the experience level for the role described above.  AAC considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
