The company will have multiple openings for 2025 Summer Engineering Internships in Lemont Furnace, PA. The internships will be for up to 12 weeks beginning in May through August.
Job Location: Lemont Furnace, PA (Uniontown area)
Job Title: Engineering Intern
Position Summary: Summer Engineering Interns will work closely with and assist engineers in conducting various engineering assignments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct limited scope engineering work under the supervision of engineers in one or more of the following areas:
- Hardware Design
- Hardware Testing
- Quality Assurance
- Procurement
- Material Management
- Conduct limited scope testing under the supervision of engineers
- Completing assigned tasks on time
- Gather and assemble data for engineers
- May be required to help in research in a particular field
- Conduct design analysis and/or calculations under the supervision of engineers
- Assist engineers with appropriate design details
- Wok collaboratively with the team and develop a productive network
- Perform a wide variety of tasks to gain familiarity with the engineering staff, methods, programs and practices
- Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s Degree program in Electrical, Computer, or Industrial Engineering
- Must be diligent, hardworking, and quick to learn
- Ability to carry out work instructions that will support learning and understanding the fundamentals of the company
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
- Inquisitive and eager to learn new things and develop new ideas
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting up to 20 lbs. up to 25% of time
- Walking: up to 25% of time
- Climbing, Bending, Standing, Stooping: up to 10% of time
- Sitting: up to 75% of time
AAC works on a 9/80 compressed schedule whereby employees work 80 hours in 2 weeks with every other Friday off.
